Every university and college in the USA is different and not every school offers every type of degree. Even schools that
offer the same degree may offer a different quality of education. One school may have a great engineering
program, while their business graduates struggle to find jobs. Another school may not even offer engineering,
but have one of the best business programs in the country.Use the first link to the right to locate
the best school for your major and desires. There you may search by degrees, size of the town,
campus activities, housing availability, admissions standards, and
even by the percent of international students at a school!
In addition to selecting a university based upon available degrees, you need to consider its location.
Some people prefer a school located in a major city while others prefer a school spread out over a scenic
campus in a more rural area. Location also determines the cost of living. For example, it will be much more
expensive to live in a large, urban area such as New York City than to live in a small, southern town
such as Auburn, Alabama. You will need to consider other issues such as security, available transportation,
and way of life. Use the second link in the column to the right to see how these issues compare in various
cities around the USA.
